Expert: 2021 Internet advertising market rises 24% to 314 bln rbl

MOSCOW, Mar 16 (PRIME) -- The Internet advertising market expanded by 24% in 2021 to 313.8 billion rubles, excluding value-added tax (VAT), the Russian Association of Communication Agencies (RACA) said on Wednesday in a statement.

The volume of advertisements rose by 22% to 578.3 billion rubles. “This is the biggest market in the history of the country and the fastest market dynamics since 2008,” RACA said.

The television segment grew by 17% to 197.3 billion rubles. The radio segment gained 25% to 14 billion rubles, and the press segment added 2% to 8.2 billion rubles, the association said.
